| "Early this morning we discovered a duck in our back garden, it was still there later this afternoon and not knowing what to do with it, we decided to call your number. Less than an hour later, a volunteer arrived at our home – having driven from Bassendean – and within minutes had caught the duck and had her safely installed in a container." |

"Just wanted to thank you and the team for showing me the Centre when I visited on Friday the 9th November 2008. I am very pleased I was able to visit and gain an understanding, first hand; of Native Animal Rescue’s operations and the work they do to rehabilitate and release native wildlife. Sincere thanks for your absolute commitment to such an important endeavour."

| "I would like to say thank you for allowing me to do work experience with you. I really enjoyed myself. I don’t think I could choose my favourite animal. But if I had to choose, it would be Gerald and the wattlebirds. The ducklings would have to be the messiest out of all the animals there; they all seemed to fascinate me." |
| "On behalf of the students, staff and parents of Penrhos College, we would like to thank you for your participation in the 2008 Work Experience Program. Your help is invaluable and much appreciated." |
| "I really enjoyed my week at Native Animal Rescue. I feel that I have really learnt a lot about the world of work and about our public transport. It was a very interesting week with lots of little surprises along the way. Good luck with all the animals and good wishes for the future." |
"My friends and I had a toy sale outside my place. People donated toys and we sold them. Enclosed please find $135.00. It is for the animal and bird welfare. We had a lot of fun."

| "After finding what I thought was an orphaned bird under my patio, I contacted the centre to find out what I could do for what seemed to be a bird in need of help. Your representative suggested that I wait and watch for a while before picking the bird up to bring to the centre as mum and dad bird could be close by. Within 30 minutes mum and dad bird returned, and were feeding the little one under the patio. After a good feed from mum and dad the little bird flew into the low branches of the shrubs of the patio and then all three went up into the larger trees in the garden. I did see all three birds in the garden again the next day and even for weeks later we watched the family play together in the trees. It was so lovely to have the family of birds in my backyard and to know that I could have made the wrong decision to pick the bird up was a real lesson. Just goes to show we are never too old to learn. My wife and I are going on 75+." |
"My general feeling from my work experience with your organisation is that it is a calm, pleasant workplace and you are all doing such worthwhile work. I would like to thank you once again for having me on work experience." |
"Thank you so much for a delightful day with the animals. I am sure this experience will stay in the minds of the children for a very long time. It was also an excellent opportunity for them to learn something of the plight of our native animals." |
