Pet Birds
Most people have pet birds and there are times when they simply fly the coup when released by accident. Sadly some are just deliberately set free. Many of these pet birds, especially parrots, find their way to Native Animal Rescue, brought in by caring people who recognise a bird as a pet by its behaviour and understand that the animal they have brought in has been loved by someone and that they need to be reunited with their owner or re-homed elsewhere. Native Animal Rescue holds these birds for a short period to give their owners a chance to recover them. If the owner does not turn up to collect the animal, we then seek to find a new home for it.
If you have lost a pet bird, contact Native Animal Rescue as soon as possible as your bird may be with us.
