Toobuxawik - a powerful way you can help us
Native Animal Rescue is totally dependent on donations from the public to be able to continue its valuable work with the care of sick, injured, orphaned and displaced native wildlife and our other community partnership projects. The Toobuxawik program is a powerful way for you to financially help us care for WA’s native animals and it is simple – you just donate a minimum of two dollars a week to Native Animal Rescue’s work and we do the rest.
Two bucks a week is not much, in fact it is less than you would spend to buy an ice-cream or a coffee, but it can be very powerful. If you join the program, after one year, you will have donated over $100 a year to support our work with native wildlife. Again that does not sound much, but if just a thousand people do the same, that is over $100,000 per year towards the work of NAR and that makes a massive difference to the amount of critically important work we can undertake to help our native animals and run our other community service projects. Just think what would we could be doing, if just 5% of the people in WA joined the program. That would be some $10 million dollars a year towards saving threatened species and providing safe habitat for them and it would allow us to expand our youth and other community service projects.
And because it is tax deductible, the good news is that you do not end up paying the full two dollars. Because we are a registered tax deductible gift recipient charity, the Australian Government dips into its pocket and shares the cost with you at your highest tax rate. If you are paying tax at the top tax rate, the government pays almost half of the amount to which you commit.
See how powerful such a small amount can become! Not only do we get a significant amount of funding to support our work with native animals, but you have the opportunity to direct the Australian Government in how it spends some of your taxes. It’s not often you can do that!!!
We have a number of options that you can consider for making your donations, so if you are interested, download our Toobuxawik Brochure (135kb pdf) and Registration Form (126kb pdf) for further details, or contact us to discuss further.
